Info on first patch

The first patch has an estimated release date this Friday and will concentrate on bug fixing. The release went pretty smooth, so we try to fix as many reported bugs as possible but concentrate on crashes first.

Here is a list of stuff we already fixed:

Hist auto expand removed (the option makes no sense at the moment)
Disable player info popup added (you can now disable the player popup on tables)
Retired player crash fixed (I think we found that ourself)
Game Lineup: empty lines and empty dressed list fixed (was reported)
Player Edit: second nationality missing nations fixed
Player Edit: team/franchise missing teams fixed
CHL draft preview fixed (also a crash)
Create Manager: minimum age reduced

Addition (just a small one because I had some time and it was asked for a few times):

(Goals) and (Assist) info added in non-in-game boxscores (e.g. Kane (10, ES) Toews (12) Keith (7)

(Also, a few data issues that have been discovered will be fixed. It won't be a full roster update yet, though, so no Seabrook signing, final NHL cuts, etc. until next week - our researchers' deadline is Sunday/Monday and we'll put all that stuff together then. - Jeff)

Looks like we are still on target to release the first bug-fix patch on Friday, right on time for the weekend.

Here is an updated fix list:

Fixes/Changes:

Trade AI improved (a few simple tweaks that improve the situation)
Compliance Buyouts adjusted
Fictional Start bug fixed
Fog of war on in-game sceen fixed
Can not be fired added to Setup screen
Contract offers closed after expansion team joined
Hist auto expand removed (makes no sense at the moment)

Signings with a fix money relationship of -1 are now directly on the same day during the regular season (so if you have to fix the roster now, you can do it without editing)
(just to clarify the technical term here, this means that most leagues will be able to sign players from very low-level leagues instantly when they need a quick replacement - Jeff)

Retired player Profile crash fixed

I know we said no new stuff in this first patch but we broke this promise, so please forgive us.

Additions:

(Goals) and (Assists) added to Boxscore (during game and outside game)
(Assists) added to pbp text

Expansion in the NHL is now possible on game start (so you can now directly take over an expansion team). It is not perfect (we need to change a few things for that) but it works and it is a lot of fun to start with a challenge. And quit simple: you asked for it.
