Conversations and Update Offers

I have only played OOTP 16 for a few hours here and there, but I don't see an option to have a conversation with a player or a coach. Is that even possible?

Specifically, I would love to have a conversation with a GM (manager only mode) or a manager (GM only mode) about who we should bring into the club, what positions we feel we need most, etc...

Also, is there a way to update an offer to a player once you give it? I'll give an offer to a player and all the time I get "sounds like a good offer, but there's another offer on the table from xxxx club." It would be nice to have players play clubs against each other in a bidding war, so that you can update your offer to him to sweeten the pot a bit.

No, you can't converse with a player. That is a pretty neat idea though.

To your bidding war point, that is essentially what it does. You just need to back into offer contract and his price should have risen. You can then update the contract you'd like to offer.

Thanks for the info! So basically you have to wait for the player to come back to you saying he's got a better offer, can you match it?

I would especially love to get messages from my managers when they feel they don't have the right players on the roster to form a starting 9 (which of these 20 outfielders am I supposed to play at shortstop?) and from my assistant GM when he feels I need to sign more minor league free agents or kick some players out of the minors at certain positions.

And that team chemistry report from the bench coach? Would be nice if you could also ask him for one in addition to getting one per year.
