I know jpg works, not sure about png. They can have any name you want, because you have to go to edit ballpartk and give it the name for the graphic.

I believe (though I could be mistaken) that png will also work, as both formats are support for things like player photos and logos. So I would imagine that it's the same for the stadium pics.

Am I crazy?

It seems like I should be able to use Infranview/etc on the old BMP stadium from previous OOTP versions to convert them to PNG or JPEG, and then drop them in the ballparks folder....

Would this work? I'm hesitant to just start dropping and moving files around (had a bad experience getting over my head in ootp4) - but this should work, no?

Should work fine. I'd convert to jpg since that's the format used by the default stadiums.

Yeah, it works with jpeg files. If you copy over player facepack photos, make sure they are 90 x 135 or they won't fit right.

Ok

Another dumb question...

I suppose it's not actually graphic related, but it is stadium related. Is there a way to click and select stadiums in-game rather than fullpath typing?

Also - am I right in assuming there's no easy way to import the ootp6.5 park config settings and assignments? I.e., I know I can't just copy/paste the park & parkconfig.dat files - but might there be some way to get around this? Maybe importing a 6.5 league and moving the parks.dat (or whatever the new file for stadiums is) from folder to folder?

Eventually - I'm sure I'll get used to creating quick starts rather than the old method of using 'league templates' where I'd just create a few leagues with certain settings so I could swap players and coaches in/out at will... but I'm hoping to avoid looking up and reconfiguring all the parks.

Thank you. I now know where to go. But could not find a way to add a ballpark picture. There's a dropdown menu above the park name but it doesn't open. Now that I'm in the right place, any ideas on how to add the park?

There should be a tab next to Options & Ballpark called 'Pictures & Coordinates'. I think you need to be in Commissinor Mode to change it. You have to put the picture in OOTP2006\data\ballparks. Then you can set the name of the picture on the tab. You can have a daytime and a nighttime picture too.

Ah. Commissioner Mode. Now I just need to figure out how to get into that. :-)

So many things to learn.

Under 'Manager', go to 'Homepage' and then on the left there should be 'Play in Commissioner Mode'
