NBA Style draft

Is there anyway to have the draft work like the NBA. Where I draft a player and they are signed and can not refuse?

So pretty much if I draft someone, I don't have to do the negotiations just draft and they get a default salary? Is that possible?

Absolutely.
Just don't enable Advanced Draftee Signings and that is exactly what happens.
Only way I play (at this time anyway.)

(Sorry, not in front of game right now so can't screen shot this. But per the manual, it is in the League menu, under Draft Order and Rules.)

I'm considering this in my league myself. I like the added depth to drafting guys and having them return to college or whatever, but I lose anywhere from 5-10 out of 35 draftees every year to this mechanic. While I understand it happens sometimes, it seems a bit excessive in my game.

Yeah, bad enough that I lost one of my favorite prospects to a storyline (which is a feature I mostly love) that had him going off to play in the NFL instead.

I figure someday I will use the advanced draftee signing option as well as a number of other things (stats only play) to give myself more of a challenge but for my current fictional league I just like to keep that sort of thing a bit more simple.
