Logos all whacked out! Why?

I setup a league of the 30 MLB chasing random years that they either won the world series or got close. When I ran the setup all the teams had odd logos, why?

"PRINT SCREEN" on keyboard (this makes a snapshot), paste into ms paint (or other picture program), save file, upload pic here

I'm guessing that by the term "odd logos" you don't mean the historic logos that the teams had (i.e. the logo that was current for them in the year that you pulled them from?)

Correct! The logos are fictional and frankly reminds me of the game in its first few iterations. Perhaps I missed checking a box when setting up my league?

Did you know that OOTP has a built-in screenshot tool? Press F12 and that's it!

The screenshot is placed in: C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 19\screenshots

or you can use snipping tool from windows which is already on most computers

where is data directory installed on a mac? (rhetorical)

when game first loads (not a league) click "settings" then "expert" -- it should list the location of your data directory.

..\data\saved games\<your league>.lg\ ->> then exports folder? you'll be able to distinguish by reading screen at that point.

print screen avoids that... mac has one too i assume.. hit it, then open a built in picture editor for mac.. i'm sure it has one. paste. then you can save anywhere you wish wihtout searching for a data directory.

you are getting info and syntax form pc users, so it's not your fault if it's not 100% clear.


logos:

if named properly it hsould auto-load real mlb team logos... if they are historic, it's due to the year of the league (also part of th file name for the logos and caps and ...)

you can always remove/delete the ones you don't want to be used, then when you load your league next, there's a checkbox to reload or check all logogs and such.. (only check box? gui, so read and make common sense decision if mor ethan 2 check boxes, lol)

if you do go this route, after you delete, remove those files from the related data\.. directories, any future league won't use them either. (store in safe palce to move back, or can alwys reinstall default data stuff from "settings" explained above - troubleshoot tab.)

no worries if you delete... they are still aviable.. and, fyi, will be re-insrted each time you update the game too.

Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?

Okay, seriously, try this:

- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Go Advanced".
- Write a short message (if you try to leave the text field blank it won't let you post).
- Go down a bit to where it says "Attach Files", and click "Manage Attachments".
- Click the first "Browse" button and navigate to where you've saved your image on your computer. Select it, click "Open".
- "Upload"
- "Submit Reply"

Perhaps i get the fictional logos because i use fictional league setup...

The same way you do when you load the Major League or historical worlds. Why wouldn't it do the same for setting up a fictional universe of historical teams? Makes no sense to me...
