If a guy hits a solo HR, does he get credited with a Run, an RBI, or both?

Yeah, that's why Bill James' original Runs Created stat was (Runs + RBIs - HRs). It wasn't because he didn't think home runs were important; it was because they were double-counted if you just added Rs and RBIs together.
