Riddle me this

Perfect league, none of the players have played on this team before.

Could it be pure luck? Is there a way to hack PPs? No way you could buy all these players with real money.

Well, maybe, but I cannot imagine how much and how they would all be available.

Anyone?

You lack imagination. You can probably buy this team with less than $2,000.

that is definitely a team a whale could buy, but it does seem very weird to be in perfect without ever using any of those players along the way. what is the managers history like?

and the 36-0 relief record wtf

Well, I don't get how Walter Johnson is getting the wins. See the last game. How does he get the win.

And this person wins just not series. Odd, that all the players were acquired between middle of last season and this season. Maybe got upset never winning a perfect league (I haven't either, so I can't talk)

2000$ is a lot for me.

I am trying not to give up location and name. As I just don't know how it is done.

Talking

I could be jealous. I've been in perfect since 2024 and never can never close the deal.

Starter did not go 5 innings, so the win is awarded to the choice of the official scorer. In PT, it is often the pitcher that pitches the fifth or the next pitcher after the starter unless the game is tied at that point. He likely has all of his starters set to a 50-pitch limit. Johnson is the long reliever so he enters a lot of games with a chance to get that win. There is an award for most pitching wins and he is likely gaming the system for it.

I dont think its "gaming the system" as much as its a really good strategy to have a four man rotation always on full rest then walter johnson for an inning most games.

A two thousand dollar team doesnt care about another 400 points in a season lol

the only weird thing to me is that none of these players were used before but maybe OP just has the stats cleared or something

I am not a mind reader so I don't know his intent. Your guess is as good as mine. The strategy certainly seems to be working.

That is a real team. And I know who it is. The Hague Hustlers.

Purchased most of the players with real money. and pulled a few.

and they set up the strategy to get all the vulture wins.

so no hacking here.

Well, that happens to be my team. I was playing an all black theme and realized they could not compete at higher levels due to a lack of quality pitching. So I did a lot of research and switched tactics. I spend a significant amount of time researching and choosing players. I reasoned out a new strategy and how I would like to play it. So far, it seem to be pretty successful.

I am gunning for the Perfect team all-time wins record. And hopefully the all-time SB record as well.

I think is a viable strategy that gives me the best chance for success.. It took me about a week to acquire the majority of the players I didn't already own, and I have continued to add to it during this week. I utilized the auction house and asked in discord for cards that I did not see listed.. I also got some lucky pulls the helped to define my strategy.

Some people like chasing records. I'm in the same group chat as this guy and I did the same strategy this week to open the season. Three of us had discussed how we could potentially get the wins record for the past week. Hoyt was on pace for 41 wins and then it fell off a bit.

People just need to play PT and stop worrying about other's teams.

Why would people stop worrying about other teams?

If someone is a $$$cow, and we are stuck playing the cow, and we lose, why should we play? Why would we want to play. To lose?

Do as well as you can against the other 28 teams. The whales don't win every time and without them there would be no game for everyone else to play anyway.

But there is definitely no reason to care that someone sets a strategy to get one pitcher as many wins as possible. So what, that just sounds like a fun side-project.

the Walter Johnson thing was so smart. No issues there. Just the 2000$ real money drop. Maybe after so much money is spend on PP you get advanced to the new (Major) Money league
