Logos/jerseys/caps for LBF
Just posted about my new league in the Dynasty forum - a six-team fictional league called the Lyonesse Baseball Federation. You can read all about it there, but I wanted to repost the description of the teams here, just in case anyone would like to take a crack at the logos and unis. I've got a vague start on the Pirates, and I've posted the league logo, although I should make a note to replace the banner of "Independent Baseball League" with the actual league name at some point soon.
Also, if you do: I'm not a big fan of the round-style logos, so please just use a transparent background. Anyway, here is the league info. I don't have much to offer to those who make the logos and unis, but it's possible I could send something along, or work out a deal in trade. The Teams of the Lyonesse Baseball Federation Eastgate Pirates Junior Team: Valentine Junior Pirates Colors: Maroon and White Cap Emblem: white "E" on maroon Park: National Baseball Stadium -- Quichotte, Atlantia -- Capacity 22,560 Owner: Hoshiko Yamane (JPN) Melrose Browns Junior Team: West Daline Junior Browns Colors: Brown and Orange Cap Emblem: orange and brown fleur-de-lis Park: Palace of the Fans -- Melrose, Dalinetopia -- Capacity 5,000 Owner: Eddy Current (LYO) Miramar Neptunes Junior Team: Hamilton Sharks Colors: Teal, Blue, and White Cap Emblem: teal trident with superimposed baseball Park: National Baseball Stadium -- Quichotte, Atlantia -- Capacity 22,560 Owner: Edgar Froese (GER) Phaedra Aeros Junior Team: Calvados Gladiators Colors: Green Cap Emblem: to be determined Park: Martin Road Park -- Phaedra, Columbia -- Capacity 3,500 Owner: Hector Quinones (PUR) Note: pronunciation is [FAY-dra] Rubycon Petrels Junior Team: Atem Smashers Colors: Black, Grey, and White Cap Emblem: petrel head Park: Petrel Park -- Rubycon, Columbia -- Capacity 7,110 Owner: Gabriel Weinberg (USA) Note: pronunciation is [ROO-bee-kahn]. A petrel is a bird similar to a seagull which is common in Lyonesse. Tangines Tigers Junior Team: Tangram Street Tabbies Colors: Yellow and Black Cap Emblem: either "TT" or growling tiger Park: Mendrick Field -- Tangines, Dalinetopia -- Capacity 5,800 Owner: Connor Reed (LYO) Note: pronunciation is [tan-ZHEEN]. Tangram Street is the main street in Tangines and is also the location of Mendrick Field.

oriole,
If none of the good graphics guys do these for you, I will help you out... txranger, knuckler, low and Leaf Load are way out of my league. I am only average at best and very limited in what I can do, but I do a decent logo, home and away jerseys and caps. Let's give the good designers a few more days... if you get no response, then I will try to help you. One thing for sure, I could not do them as per your instructions... I have to find a mascot image... such as Pirates, Gladiators and Tigers... but I can't change colors that the images are... I have to use those colors for the caps and jerseys. |

Greatly appreciated, Gene. I'm working my way through the Pirates now...slowly, as Real Life keeps butting its way into my baseball time. Obviously, I'm not owed any designs from anyone. I could possibly pay a few dollars through PayPal, but I don't have a great deal to spare...I do feel, however, that artists are owed for their work, and I like to try and adhere to that when I can. I mean, it would literally only be a couple of bucks. ETA: Also, the colors and design elements up there are visuals that I had worked out, but they are by no means set in stone. If you have some other ideas, by all means, indulge your creativity.

Let's give them a few more days to see if anyone will do them for you. It is hard to get a few logos done these days... much less the number that you want... I doubt very seriously that you will get much help. Hope I'm wrong and have to eat my words... but it is hard to get help on the forums these days. Have you looked at logos, jerseys and caps that have already been created? That might be your quickest source and you would have to be flexible... you might have to change some of your nicknames. I will post a sample of my work... it will not offend me if it is not what you want... both quality and style... if they don't fit your needs... just say so... no offense taken. Just don't be a nice guy and just to keep from hurting my feelings say you like them when you don't... please don't let me spend time making them and then you not use them. |

There are a few existing logos I will probably leverage. Heck, the Browns (as an example) are basically just the '53 St. Louis Browns, exactly, so I can use them just fine - taking all the St. Louis branding off, that is. The Petrels of course will be trickier.
I'll be sure to give my exact opinion on any that you make.

Here are a few more logos.
Keep in mind, I can't change any colors of the images I use. I find a Tiger or Pirate image and then create a logo, jersey and cap using the colors of that image. I am very limited in the variety of fonts... almost all of my fonts are just simple block lettering... no script fonts. |

Looking at your list of nicknames... I can probably find mascot images for only the Pirates, Sharks and Gladiators... and maybe Neptunes.
You have some unique nicknames that I wouldn't have any idea of what to use for an image... can't help on the Smashers, Tabbies or Petrels. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-20-2019 at 03:37 PM. |

Gene,
Thanks again; sent you a reply by PM. I'm having a graphic designer friend of mine take a look at them... I will say, yours are pretty neat. They have that sort of old-time flannel look to them, which is perfect for your league.

I'll put up the logos in a while, but for now, what do you think of these for the Melrose Browns?
Not exceptionally original, but there's a certain classy look to them.

I love the old St. Louis Browns logos and jerseys. Just my opinion, I think Orange would be a little bit better than Red... it looks reddish Orange to me... like real Orange better. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-25-2019 at 12:14 PM. |

The orange used is (207,69,32) in RGB... and feel free to steal away. I'll have logos done soon.
Thinking I should've gone with the brownie on the shoulder of the away jersey, too.

Still working on logos. Eastgate is next, though really I'm waiting for my graphic designer to come up with stuff.
In the meantime, still open to anyone else taking a swing at it. (Spent the last week dodging tornadoes. Second-smallest county in Maryland, and we've had two touch down here on two different days in the past week. Yikes!)

An update: it appears my graphic designer has flown the coop. No contact in weeks. This is a very common problem with the profession, it seems. I had offered money for them, but apparently that wasn't enough of a factor.
So I'm back to where I was. Pfeh. Ah, well. Will keep plugging away.

...so the caps will look like this. I'm thinking the one with the (Towson) Tiger will be an alternate.

And here are the jerseys. Let me know what you think - I'm open to changing them around a bit.
