Best Sports Injury Simulator on the Market!
OOTPB 20 is beyond any doubt the best sports injury simulator on the market. As an added benefit, occasionally, a baseball game breaks out.
Fifth year into a challenge league. I finally have my team competitive despite being cursed with a tightwad owner and, for the first time in their history, they inch into first place. Then, 5 starters get major injuries in 4 games. Within the next week, all 9 of my starters are gone; the shortest injury is out for 3-4 weeks. Most are out for 3 months or more. Only 1 of the starters has an injury rating of fragile (I don't want him on my team but no one will take him in a trade and I can't find anyone better in free agency or the draft). Several are durable. Oh well, kiss this season good bye. OOTPB20 is a great game. I know they say their injuries pretty well replicate what happens in real baseball, and from what I can tell, they appear to be close, but when injuries streaks occur...OMG! |

Three thoughts
1) I would check my trainers ratings 2) Make sure you don't try to play everybody 162 games. The game will punish you if don't use your bench 3) I've had some terrible injury years but nothing like that. The current Yankees feel your pain. Hang in there |

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I dont use Challenge Mode because of the inability to change some settings.

I love the work that has been put into the injury system. I have said this before, but the goal of any sports management simulation is to make me feel like I am the GM, head manager, team president or whatever the top role is.
Injuries are unfortunately a massive part of sport. Any game that can simulate them accurately goes toward the goal of making you feel like your closer to the real life goal of being a GM. |

Im pretty certain you cant injury mode in challenge but ive never checked so it is whatever default is.
It was only in May so not sure if fatigue was involved. I do rotate players though Yeah. Ratings. Hmm. Trainer rati gs are about the only ones which are useful. Ratings/reputation for everyone else is a joke. My trainer's lowest area is rated good. My experience has been it doesnt really matter. Vif injuries are on you will get a ton of them no matter what. For that i highly value reserves who are good at multiple positions. They are worth their weight in gold |

At least the game throws some curveballs when it comes to injuries, some of them happen in very weird and varied circumstances.
