Too many two-way players?
Just a quick observation. I'm looking at the draft pool and it seems like way too many players are two-way.
I get the fact that these guys are young, but by age 18 or 22, the vast majority of players should have their positions (and attributes subsequently) clearly defined. Along these lines, is it possible to get an option to tweak the amount of two-way players? Like how we can adjust dev speed, aging, etc. Thanks |

They come in a lot of flavors. Last one I drafted I just took pitching from him once he was in my system. Potentially elite bat with like 30's in pitch ratings
It seems difficult to develop a true two-way player, which might be the "balance" to there being so many. I tried it with Bobby Witt, Jr. and his pitching side never moved. I see it else where in my system where one side lags or the kid is just not progressing at all, and there's the playing time issue, especially if he's a RP two-way. He might get ABs but how is he going to get on the mound? In 19, there was exactly one player in my 27-year-save that made it "Ohtani-style" (developed as a SP/solid bat and came up with it and held it most of his career). The rest flamed out on one side or another. I wouldn't be worried unless the league becomes a two-way fest...but maybe IRL is trying to move that way, too. I think the point is more to see and make the decision once he's in your system. Last edited by KBLover; 04-03-2019 at 05:53 PM. |
