I have modified the default card. I guess I will have to do the others, also. This version can be downloaded from the same LINK

1) Changed the player name font.
2) Shrunk the back side player picture.
3) Increased the font size and spacing for the stats on the back
4) Increased the area for the team name in the upper right on the back.
5) Various other minor visual changes.

Examples: (I split the front and back into two images to not lose any picture quality during the upload.) This guy suffered from Post-Concussion Syndrome in 2010 and bounced back to have a decent season, making the all-star team with Philadelphia before being traded to Chicago.

Here ya go!

The jersey texture in .PNG format is HERE ~146kb

My base Jersey Template for Photoshop is HERE ~1.66mb

My base Caps Template for Photoshop is HERE ~1.22mb

The templates contain the textures that I use as well as a few other basic uniform 'parts'.

Dave, as far as I know you can't get the game to automatically create them, but I always create a new card image with a Gold Glove logo and create a Gold Glove XML that I can select manually in game.

Extract the files to your ..OOTP Baseball 11/bb_cards folder and then open a player card in game, pictures, baseball cards, new, and select the template you wish to use.

Thanks, I've got that part working now. Is there any way to update old pictures so that they use the new template? I tried 'update baseball cards' but it didn't do anything (that I could notice).

Man, that really is unfortunate... Oh well, I guess that just means my league has 3 seasons of mediocre all-star cards before the good ones kick in.

Just out of curiosity, what does the "Update baseball cards" button even do?

I can think of 2 possibilities for that button... 1 being to update baseball cards should the player's face have changed (haven't tested this one). The other could be to update to a new template, but that obviously doesn't work.

Perhaps this is something that was simply overlooked while the game was in development?

I think it just updates already created cards. So say cards were generated for all-stars in July, you can hit the button at the end of the season and it would update their stats through that point. Not sure, just a guess.

There needs to be a generate baseball cards button for each league, like the facegen functions.

#1 per the manual..

Other Picture Functions
The Other Picture Functions contains an option that allows you to update all of the player pictures used in the Baseball Cards feature.

Thanks for clearing that up. Now if only there was a way to update cards to new templates...

I have been trying to work around this by editing and adding characters to the commando.tff font. I was able to get the correct letters to show, but for whatever reason the accents that I drew in the font editor are not working. Still, a step in the right direction until I learn more about FontForge.
