River Walkers starting pitcher Aaron Nola took a 5-4 lead into the seventh inning, but the Golden Grapplers were quick to go to work putting together three consecutive runners, the third of which from Matt Duffy plated a run to tie it.

Jake Diekman stepped in and got an out without allowing a run.

St. Louis tied it in the bottom of the seventh, when a Bo Bichette sacrifice fly scored Joe Mundy.

Bobby Poyner was the next to get an opportunity to cool off Cedar Rapids.
His second pitch eluded catcher Tucker Barnhart and allowed Trevor Story to score.

Bregman started it with a lead-off homer off Poyner. Wilson Ramos later plated a pair with a two-out double off Manual Soliman.

Walkers news: Sept. 20 -- Des Moines 6, St. Louis 3

Record: 85-65, 3rd, 5 GB Des Moines
Dallas Keuchel allowed one run over seven innings to help Des Moines to a 6-3 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium (1997).
With the win, Des Moines split the four-game series with the River Walkers. The Harvesters remain atop the National League South Division with a three-game lead over Cedar Rapids with 14 games remaining. St. Louis sits five games in back of Des Moines.
The only run Keuchel allowed came in the first inning when Ender Inciarte led off with a double and scored on an Andrew Benintendi ground out.
He held the Walkers without a run over the next six innings, as the Harvesters crafted a 4-1 lead.
A solo homer from Pavin Smith in the second inning off St. Louis starting pitcher Trevor Bauer tied it.
Rafael Devers got to Bauer for a two-run blast in the fourth, his 42nd homer of the season, as Des Moines went up 3-1.
The fifth inning saw Alfredo Rodriguez lead off with a double and score on a one-out single by Khalil Lee.
In his seven ninnings, Keuchel allowed just the one run on three hits. He struck out five and walked one.
Rory Stevens allowed a pinch-hit single to Michael Conforto in the eighth inning, drawing the Walkers to within 4-2.
But the Harvesters got that run back and more in the ninth when Cody Bellinger hit a two-run homer off Bobby Poyner.
Jandel Gustave allowed a run in the ninth, but it didn't mean much as the Harvesters still came away with the win.
Poyner suffered a oblique strain while pitching and is likely done for the season.

Making his first start since June 11 when he suffered a strained abdominal injury, he missed four weeks and then spent extended time in the minors, Duffy allowed four singles and a doubles over the nine innings.
He struck out seven and walked three.
The River Walkers did most of their damage in the third inning, putting up four runs.
Bo Bichette did much of the damage with a three-run homer off Springfield starting pitcher Collin McHugh.
Tucker Barnhart hit a solo homer off McHugh in the same inning, making it 4-0.
A long ball also accounted for the Walkers final run, Carlos Arroyo delivering a solo shot off Chris Rearick in the ninth.
