Saskatoon doesn't want to be reeling in the early part of the season... so when they hosted Quebec at home on Oct 12th. They wanted to play their best

G Henry Fisk proved ready on the day, Saskatoon outshot Quebec in the first period, but Quebec had maybe more, closer threats, and Fisk earned a few exclamation points.

Quebec had a advantage in power play chances .... but Fisk was answering them even as Quebec began to have more shots than Saskatoon ..

In fact, Saskatoon never even had a power play in all 3 periods

But it was on a 5-3 power play, winger Roche beat Fisk, but even when beaten, Fisk got a piece of it, it just got in ...

The came carried on, Quebec playing the game they wanted, except still stood with only 1 in the net...

But golden prosepct Robin McAuley of the Bison provided the tie ... and the game never salnted any other way... ending in the 1-1 tie.

Rochester has won three straight, and they looked to continue.

After a scoreless first, Ewing got an even strength goal.

Rochester held off Alberta in the second, but only until the last 4 seconds, there Alberta ended a power play with 17 seconds left in the PP with a goal by Kennet Nilsson.

Jerry Glasser, the Rochester power forward, did what he does, and got his 5th goal of the early year right in front of the goal.

But Reece Kennard didn't let the Chinooks go out without at least one point when he got the even goal with 4:40 left to play.

Alberta outshot Rochester, but the home team managed to keep them out of the net most of the night, just not enough at the end.

Not going to be all that many game reports shared outside Rochester and Saskatoon...

But this one was worth sharing.. 48 shots versus 16... and guess who won

G Andrey Selin was the goalie last time these teams played, and gave up 9 goals... not much better, as he gave up 5 goals in only 16 shots!!!!!

Frenchman proved better, but not his defense, 48 shots against, but only 3 goals given up.....

These two top goalies were nearly a no show.. Lajeunesse gave up 4 goals in the first 15 shots, and only 1 in the next 13

Rochester just ran out of time, the shortened a three goal deficit to 1, then a two goal deficit to 1 again... but ran out of time. .. 5-4 loss in Milwaukee

UPDATE:

I have enjoyed this dynasty, I appreciate the interactions that have been... but there has been a few things that have been in the back of my mind.

1--- DRAFT, I ran some tests, and found the draft to be containing problems (young players get drafted off of other team's rosters) ..
This was an issue, and wished before I made the 16 rosters + that I had created a universe with a Junior League....
I had it in mind, that I was going to take a long time to finish season 1, so maybe a patch would be out before I get to the draft.
The other part would be just to ignore the draft and not mention it at all on the report.

So this was lingering in my brain

2-- I began to thing it neat if I had run several seasons to make a league history.... all first year milestones would be league records... neater if this was not the case

3-- Another issue that has been in the back of my mind, was whether I should expand or not... I initially did not want to, and did not think I would want to....

But not having a Seattle, Vancouver, and New York team started to nag at me a little bit.

I thought about expanding to these places, but then ... just in my mind, it felt weird to expand to these markets and not places like Anchorage-Omaha-Salt Lake...
So I thought about renaming some of the teams to these bigger markets and expand to those smaller ones....

BUT! in the game, expansion doesn't allow for minor league teams... and this was also unsatisfactory to me for my league, to know that 4 teams do not have a farm team while others do....

I tried several things to fix these, and even had some help from Malte Schwarz as many of these fiels were crashing (but I modified them with incompatable files, so no issue but mine)

So I decided..... although, I am really liking this dynasty.... these draft-history-other teams issues are too much implanted in my mind ... and the only way to solve it was to go ahead and generate the universe that I want completely.... so nothing is left behind

Well, so I took up the task ... and although I tried to make shortcuts with rosters, they do not work...

I have to completely edit and create the rosters into a 20 team league, copy/paste of files doesn't work

The 4 new teams are called :

B.C. (British Columbia) Cavalry ... playing in the suburbs of Vancouver of Surrey

New York/New Jersey Raiders .. Some reason the NY/NJ name just made sense to me for this league

Seattle Sea Otters .... Seattle is now in the league, there are several Seattle concepts on the web, I liked many.. I borrowed this one

Vancouver Blazers..... Things are a bit lonely in the Canadian Pacific coast, so there are two teams in the area.... sorry Atlantic regions

So this is where it is, I can post the new standings as I am regenerating the league and its players

IHA with history, 4 new teams, and Juniors is coming along

It is seriously not fun to make the league players again ! ! ! ! ! ! !

But I am making progress and this is my choice ... so I am suffering through it with glee :-)

But 8/20 rosters are done .... takes a bit longer as I have to be mindful of players' histories and age

Takes almost as long as to figure out who should be who on the Roster.....

then after I am done, I will make the new teams rosters.....

Won't go into too much work for the minors and free agents as last time, but will do some name changing probably....

still maybe two weeks away, perhaps

14/20 teams are complete!

Two more teams of the original are missing ratings, I have placed last names in place to determine what player and what history is best

so 16/20 are somewhat named...

4 teams to make almost completely from scratch, no copying .... haven't done this since January in FHM14 .... kind of intriguing ... kind of still big work and thinking....

then I will modifiy farm systems, not so much players ... to make sure they fit both the top teams and the player styles ....

modify very little of the free agents...

then ready for launch!!!
