The Fictional World Baseball Federation (WBF) Officially Opens it's Doors!

The WBF is a brand new fictional league set to start soon. The league consists of 3 separate leagues each based in it's own nation (USA, Japan, and Cuba). There are 8 teams in each league with no interleague play.

National Winners from their home leagues face off in the WBF association playoffs to crown the ultimate WBF Champion!

***The website is very much a work in progress. I anticipate that we can begin the inaugural draft around the first weekend in June if we fill up by then.

Another new owner has joined Cuba, but we had one person drop out of the USA for personal reasons, so a spot has opened up there as well.

4 more needed to fill the first 3 leagues!!!

I second this - 3 leagues in different parts of the world coming together for a shot at a true (or at least much truer) reflection of a World Series winner

This setup gives the ability to add leagues in new countries down the track too, add to this fictional players and I know I'm really looking forward to this league kicking off (and watching painmantle officially suck).

Matt has taken the final spot in the USA so it is once again full.

Still 1 spot in Cuba and 2 in Japan. And remember, if we have enough interested in the WBF, we'll expand to a 4th league before we start!

Right now, Canada is leading the vote as to what that league would be once the others fill up.

With interest in the WBF soaring as we near the release of the league file in the next few days, the league has announced expansion into Canada prior to the inaugural season.

If we can fill 8 spots in Canada in the next few days then we'll open with 4 leagues. GM's signing up for Canada will have their own separate inaugural draft and be in right from the start on even footing with all other GM's.

So, who wants to set up shop in Canada?

Planning to start the inaugural drafts today, but are just short of having enough GM's to add the 4th league in Canada. I have 5 applications, but need 8.

Unless I receive a few applications by Sunday afternoon, we will postpone expansion into Canada until after season #1.
