The sim is complete thru 2009.
There were 43 instances of 50+ HRs in a season in the sim, IRL there were 41 instances of 50+ thru the 2009 season. The most HRs in a season in th sim was 69 by McGwire. There were 24 pitchers who won 300+ games in the sim, which is the same amount as IRL. Chicagofan76 - Harold Baines BA/OBP/SLG/OPS Real: .289/.356/.465/.820 Sim: .291/.355/.478/.832 2843 H, 480 2B, 39 3B, 423 HR Let me know what results you guys would like to know. I'll post the player real vs sim stats. Albert Pujols (thru 2009) BA/OBP/SLG/OPS Real: .334/.427/.638/1.055 Sim: .334/.428/.611/1.038 |

Nice work, Garlon. I noticed that SLG% seems to be slightly low for most of the players you listed. Any reason for this?

I should add -- in case people don't know it -- Garlon is largely responsible for the improvements to OOTP historicals. Spritze, too, should receive a lot of credit. Thanks, guys!

pstrickert - SLG% is generally lower for players in my sim because they usually play a bit more in their least productive seasons than they did IRL which will bring their career rates down a bit. I think that some of the replacement levels for the cup of coffee players are still a bit too strong, esp for 1Bmen, and that takes a few HRs, 2B's, etc from other players.

The numbers look really look great, very consistent to what I've been seeing as well in my test runs. I usually play with injuries on, and the home run totals absolutely do drop a bit, in my last sim Bonds was the all-time leader with 771. In the current league that I'm playing now, I've been using R/L transactions and I've been getting really really good results team wise.
