"The Trading Deadline Has Passed" ??

I'm playing in 1966 and tried a trade, but it said "The trading deadline has passed." So I set the trade deadline to Dec 31, 1967,. and STILL got the same error.

Can someone please tell me what's up? Thanks.

Trading deadline in real ball is 7/31. If you didn't edit it at the start and have played past it, you're SOL.

SOL for that season. Your new deadline should begin being applied next season. To make sure, shortly after January 1st check to see if your new limit shows up on the 'sim until' (or 'play to') list.

Thanks for the responses, but actually I had left the 7/31 deadline alone and yet wasn't able to make trades in June; that's when I changed it to 12/31.

Now THAT sounds like a bug. Please report that to Technical Support.

if your trade deadline is after the end of, I belive the end of the "world series" then you won't be able to trade the next year. This is what happens.

1. trading is allowed 1 or 2 days after end of WS
2. trading is on from then till your trade deadline.
3. 12/31 regular trading is now disallowed till the end of the next WS.

Not sure its really a bug but more of an when things get toggled on and off. Unfortunly at least for that year, regular trading won't be allowed.
