1943 Minor League Salaries: Beyond Thunderdome
All,
I've created a four-team minor league that exists in 1943. While setting up the universe, I followed the instructions on suggested salaries, with a good player earning no more than $6000/yr and a superstar earning no more than $8000/yr. After simming 1943, I looked at 1944 salaries. Salaries for players whose contracts ended in 1943 zoomed up into the $70,000/yr and $80,000/yr range. All of those players became Joe DiMaggio! Is there a way to get the sim to obey my upper limits on salary? --Pet |

You must have the 'update financials every year' thing turned on. Without going in and editing the database, there is no way for you to leave that on and keep the game within your desired monetary limits AFAIK. Your best bet is probably just to turn that option off and update everything in game yourself each year if you want to change the salaries at all.
