Anyone expanded to Seattle yet?

Anyone who's expanded to Seattle - can I ask what you're using for a schedule?

The in game schedule that gets created after expansion is not suitable imo. I get things like a team will have 8 back to backs in the same month. I see 1 team playing another team 3 straight games - away, home, away.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong when generating? Not sure, but it's the 1 thing stopping me from expanding. The inability to find a decent schedule for a 32 team league, 2 conf, 2x8 team division per conf.

We've been looking into a issue with the schedule maker for a particular game usage issue, but I can't say I've seen 3 straight games before.

Back-to-backs happen frequently with the generator simply because that's the way it works. 8 in a month seems a little excessive but we've tried separating them before and it pushes the season longer, causing other issues.

Jeff may want to see your save, so please make sure to separate it, especially if you re-roll.

Unfortunately I didn't keep the save. Once I realized the schedule wasn't going to work, I started over. Holding off on expansion in this run in hopes the schedule issue can be sorted.

Tks for the response and update, appreciated.

I can verify that. I added the Seattle Franchise and also ended up with a completely unbalanced schedule. Every team in each division plays one divisional team 8 times and every other divisional opponent 3 times. I have also seen 3 games in a row Seattle and Vegas. For instance, Seattle plays Vegas 8 times, including 3 in row. Many teams have 20 back to back during the season. I believe the NHL tries to keep these between 11-15 or so. Also I simulated the whole season to see what would happen the next year and Seattle plays Vegas 8 times once again. The schedule went sideways as soon as the NHL league was expanded to 32 teams. Hopefully in the future one will be able to import/export the schedule via MS Excel and make corrections if the schedule maker does it incorrectly.
