Good luck to everyone in P418 today. There are 6 teams that have a legit shot to win the world series today. Should make for an exciting day!

Setting the stage for the P418 playoffs...
As humboldt1498 said, this should be exciting! Bracket is below.
I'd mentioned earlier that it was possible that 2 under-.500 teams could make the AC playoffs. Well, thanks to a 5-game season-ending winning streak, the Long Beach Schooners finished at 81-81, narrowly avoiding that distinction. Meanwhile, my opponent in the Division Series, AC East-winning St. Paul Copper Kings, were, in late September, leading the division, but with a 67-80 record. And then...well, take a look at the final standings. Suffice is to say, they have all the momentum coming into the playoffs, and it would not shock me if they end up in the AC Sub-League Series...

I guess winning my division in Perfect League is cool and all. But in the first round I'm facing a team with 15 historic Perfect Cards on its active roster and 13 more on reserve. I have one live Perfect card (Yelich) on my whole team.
Won't be pretty... Developers, please give us a Perfect Champions league where the whales can go play. |

Sam Jethroe, the crazy twat, stole home in the Rebs' 9-4 wild card win over New Crobuzon. No idea where that is. But the wild card game in the other league was won by Gettysburg, so that's a fit …!

3 playoff teams this week...
- New York Patriots (Silver) lose in wildcard, will have to suffer an 8th week in the 4th tier - Brooklyn Dynasty (Diamond) aim for promotion to Perfect - Blitzkrieg Boppers (Bronze, formerly the 1980's All-Stars) take their revamped roster and shoot for promotion to Silver |

I doubt we'll meet though. Already lost Game 1 on my side of the screen, and it wasn't close.

Dropped the first 2 at home. Not looking good
I might give up on PT Sundays at this rate (edit: yup, over in 3. big hitting team couldn't get a run in last 2 games. I don't know why I bother sometimes)

Just got this bad boy for my SenaTwins by completing the five Senators/Twins card collection missions.
They got relegated but should be decent in Diamond. I've collected some decent cards through the season. Starting pitching will be better although the bullpen will still be atrocious. |

So, yeah, St. Paul's winning streak is now 18 games as they completely dominated Huntley, sweeping us away 5-1, 7-4, and 9-2. Good luck to everyone left in P418!

You were unlucky to catch a really hot team in a short series. You will be back strong next week. |

The Miners get whipped in the Division Series by the Wild Card team 3 games to 1. It was the worst match up possible for the Miners as the Bradenton Barons were chock full of RHBs and our best pitching was LH. All games were close but we couldn't get the big hit when needed.
Congrats to the Bradenton Barons and good luck in PERFECT!!

Doha and Perugia advance to the Conference series, while Great Lakes lost in 5 to a team that we should have beaten.
The big surprise for Doha is that the #1 seed (Battery Park 135-27) lost to the wild card winner and so we are going to have home field advantage and potentially a weaker team to face (Salisbury Seagulls 83-79) Perugia too is facing the wild card team (Haledon Glaziers 118-44), but that is as good as the #1 they took down. At least we have home field advantage

Time of death for my playoff Sunday this week: 2:32 PM.
No promotion party for any of my teams. Hurts to be denied promotion in diamond for the second straight season in a game 5. Plenty of time to get to the bar though. Gonna need it. |

The Colonels (116-46) swept the first round and will play Long Beach-Compton in the P418 NC finals. LBC (123-39) was a hot team down the stretch and they have no apparent weakness. My pitching is hot right now so I hope to hold them under their season average 6 runs per game. LBC led the league with a +501 run differential, while I came respectably close to my goal with a +421.
The AC finals feature the surprise St. Paul Copper Kings (82-80) against the league powerhouse Pawnee Harvesters (125-37). |

My Eskimos had their first winning record in their third Perfect season, winning their division on the last day of the season at 89-73. I went down 3-1 in the first round, but I'm still very pleased with this season for a free team.
Late last season, I completed the Braves' and Tigers' missions, which turned out to be a huge boost in 2034, as Lonnie Smith posted 7.4 WAR in LF and Harry Heilmann posted 4.9 WAR at DH. Freddie Freeman, who I bought in order to get Smith, had a solid season (2.6 WAR at 1B) as well. Now I need to figure out if I'm going to keep Tatis Jr. around for another week or cash out while he's still at 100. I'll probably cash out on Morton while he's still a diamond.
