Turns out Historical names are correct for all these players.
Did this come from a Standard game, a Quickstart or a Custom game? Data is not shared between modes so even though Historical is correct the others may not be.

I let Lukas know of the file you made. Those roster guys need it for their Standard game data.

So, when I use the import historical player feature, these players will import with backwards names. I used a Standard game as a test, because I knew the players I was testing would already be present in the file, and I could compare the original to the import. Here is a snippet of what is in the MiLBMaster.csv incorrectly, but is correct in the standard game: firstname lastname Acosta Enyor Alarcon Kelvin Alejo Carlos Alfonso Victor Alfonzo Ezequiel Almanzar Luis Alvarez Roberto Amaya Miguel Andrade Fabian Aparicio Miguel Aponte Leonel Apostel Sherton Aquino Luis Angel Arauz Jaime Arcaya Luis Arias Kevin Arzaga Oscar Avendano Eudiver Avila Luis Barrios Pedro Bencomo Edwuin Beracierta Raul Beriguete Francis Bermudez Miguel Bonilla Christopher Brito Ronny Brito Raider

None of these are backwards in my copy of the MiLB Master.

Maybe I'll get a new one with the new version at the end of the week?? Not sure how that could happen..
It would need to change in the .odb file too, though, right, since that's where I choose to do the import from. Very strange you see one thing and I see another.

I just checked your FN column. First name? 4 characters looks to be too small. It marks Willie Williams and such as backwards.
When you get a fresh build use Last Name and 6 characters and see what you find. Just viewing the ones you marked as flipped I do see a few that could be backwards but as they are foreign names I really can't tell.

I have MiLBMaster.csv open right now. Column Z is filtered showing players who made their debut during 2016, and column H is filtered showing players born in the USA. Columns Q and R show "firstname" and "lastname" in that order, yet every single one of the 1006 players showing post-filter have their first and last names backwards.

I do not see this in the original file. That is all I can say. Sorry.

Using your idea and last names and 6 characters I did find 118 players whose names looked reversed. They have been fixed and should be in the next build.

Started up a historical league in 1984 and noticed a roster discrepancy.
- Listed in the Free Agents RP Jose Alvarez: Was part of Houston's AAA club (Tucson) during the 1984 Season appearing in 33 games. |

He starts out on Tucson. Probably got released. They can happen before you get a chance to view the player.

I'm about to run a full sim starting from 1871, so a bunch of database errors are probably on their way.

CPU teams do many things before the first day is over. OOTP developments calls it a feature. I call it something else.

From my experience playing 1901-1903 in my current game so far, there seem to be lots of pitchers with absolutely crazy good minor league K/BB ratios who will therefore star in the majors despite being fringe players, at best, in real life. (I chose Ragan more or less at random. Seems his MiL W-L records are at least somewhat based off his real career, but I have no idea how his BB and K numbers were derived).

I'm not sure we really call it a feature, it's more a necessary evil
