Draft Pick Order

I just finished season 1 with the Vancouver Canucks, build 9.

Canucks lost 4 straight to the Bruins in the finals.

When I got to draft day, the Bruins received the 29th pick and the Canucks the 30th pick. It should be flipped.

FYI, the Canucks did have the league's best regular season record. I'm not sure if that's overriding.

Isn't there some kind of lottery applied?

That only applies to clubs which missed the playoffs.

Did you each own your teams own draft pick? Or was their a trade involving them of some kind?

I made zero trades. The trend continued into every round. Round 2 I had 60th pick, Boston 59. Round 3, I had 90th, Boston 89. Etc.
