Historical Help

I decided to do a historical game and am gonna stick with it this time, I took over the 1977 Blue Jays, I am currently 120 games into the 1977 season, the league ERA jumped almost 2 runs from 1976 in both the NL and AL, I have recalculation off, I have the 1977 modifiers loaded, I know I did something wrong but not sure what. I attached a screenshot of my modifiers, they look high but not sure.

Any tips?

You home run modifier is sky high. Any idea why?

I can't see anything you did wrong. Offense boomed in 77 compared to 1976. Just look at home runs. Total home runs in 76, 2235. Total home runs in 77, 3644. Something tells me the Blue Jays and Mariners didn't combine for 1409 home runs that season. Not sure why you are seeing a 2 run jump though.

I don't know but at the start of the season it wasn't too bad then slowly the games started getting higher and higher scoring, now more than 2 runs a game higher after about 130 games or so.

Hmm. I imported the 1976 season (with recalc off) and simmed to the end of the 1977 season. Offense was a bit high (maybe a quarter of a run) in 1977, but not too bad. And it had nothing to do with the home run modifier (so I retract my earlier comment). I'm rather stumped.

What does your Historical Accuracy Report look like (under Statistics)?

Just wondering. What happens when you import starting in 77 instead of going from 76 to 77? Curious to see if offense if way up then as well.

I tried it. Offense is close to perfect.

Ugh, hate to do this to you, but what happens in the first setup in which you started in 76 and simmed to 77 when you sim forward through 78? Do things get back to normal?

I started again and the modifiers are way lower than they were in my original one, I must have done something, now just have to figure out what, I simmed 21 games and things are back to normal in my new game in '77 with the Jays.

No. Offense increased even more. I'm guessing it has something to do with recalc being disabled.
