SP Throws to First

With a tied ballgame, bottom of the ninth, two outs and runners on third and first. AI keeps throwing to keep the runner close at first. I get that it keeps the force in order at second, but I find it unlikely. And on the subject, I think more than two throws at any point is irritating when replaying the game.

Plus, if it's the AI batting there's no way to concede the base and prevent your catcher from throwing when the AI steals. I've had my catcher throw it away on a few occasions. Just another one of those irritating things that will probably never get fixed.
