It is how much the team has moved on the Power Rankings lately. ++ is a lot of positive movement, then +, o, - and finally -- being a lot of downward movement.

Woa. This game is so labour-intensive. I've come from a Diamond-Mind/Extra Innings environment. I've played games for years. Not a newbie, in that regard. Because I'm on a Mac, I chose not to add a Windoze environment to the Mac and get DMB, etc.
So, I've spent $40 on OOTP 10. No biggie. I'm not a fan of replaying MLB seasons. Pointless, in my opinion. I'm looking at this for a fictional league of some sort from the ground up. Or a tournament-style MLB experience, 16 teams or something. I've started a mythical league with 8 teams. It's pretty exhausting just getting started. I just want to be able to manage all the teams (commissioner?), play the odd game from scratch, auto-play a few. I can't get the system to recognize that I want players between ages 20 and 30. I plug that in - but I then see 37, 34, 39 years old. WTH? I don't want to worry about finances, trades. Just play the damn season. It seems so hard to manage this game. Too much going on. That's saying a lot coming from me. Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm not sure this is going to grab me soon enough yo keep playing. Any suggestions? Can I set up a tournament only? Can I draft MLB players? How the hell do I learn about 200 players in a fictional league and edit their preferences? |

And ... it appears that these forums aren't visited all that frequently, so I'll be puddling along on my own.
Tried to create some leagues. That's not the issue. The issue is all the 'stuff' that you have to wade through just to get a league started. My gosh, couldn't there be an unplugged version without the salaries and the rest? Yikes. More than I bargained for - which I'd never expected to admit. |
