Inconsistent Free Agent contracts
Just went through 2021 offseason and noticed a couple contracts way off. One example...Anthony Rizzo demand of 40 plus million and Bryce Harper demand of 49 million. Rizzo age 32 and Harper age 29. Rizzo ends up signing for 5 years and 40.5 million per year. Harper signs for 7 years at 21.2 million per year. Both listed as 5 star players coming off great seasons. That Harper deal just doesn't make sense when Rizzo got way more per year and he is also 32 years old. There were also 2 other 5 star players that signed for 37 million per year and 35 million per...plus a couple 4 star guys signing for north of 30 million per

So, let's say that your game settings for scouting has some inaccuracy (that's default I think.) And your scout won't rate players like their scouts, because after all, their different. And, we don't know all the terms of all the contracts in what was posted. So, well, then it's not hard to see that. I tried to sign two elite closers: one signed (somewhere else) for $24 million. I signed an equivalent for $14.4 million. I've also over paid, too. It doesn't sound too far off from real stuff.
