Arizona Coyotes - The Path of the Longest Drought

The Arizona Coyotes have been a struggling breed for the National Hockey League over the years, and are looking to make changes yet again with the addition to GM/Head Coach change that will see Terence Baker take 3 YRS to try what many have failed.

Mr. Baker was caught up with by the media and promised some kinda change "I am looking at the next 2-3yrs". Many fans feeling the pain of the teams continued failure, don't seem to be impressed.

Baker was also quoted on adding he doesn't plan on doing to much movement throughout the first half of the season. "We will put some feels out there for a couple additions, but my main focus will to see what is here now, let the young guns play, and go from there."

Even though you won't see to many changes to the guys on the roster, Terence did say "The staff members here will be getting an overhaul."

Belows the changes made since Sept.17.2018

Though the moves aren't huge things for Arizona, the feel around the locker room seem to be well and good as shown by the recent preseason games!

The coaching staff have taken a lot of risks with the younger roster put together here and looks like preseason has been a huge success with the 6-1 Record. The Regular Seasons on the way, and they hope for much more down the stretch.

The Arizona Coyotes open up the Regular Season with the same success of the preseason, by making a statement against the Dallas Stars.

The downside you can take away from the game is that Arizona had 5 chances to score on the power play, but were 0/5.

Despite that, the staff seem to be motivating this young star team, and we look forward to seeing more from them.

  • Coyotes continue to struggle on the power play, going 0-3 in this game.
  • Christian Fischer continued his goal streak to help Arizona to keep things rolling.
  • Antti Raanta kept his head high and helped to finish strong in the the Shootout.

Notes to Take:
  • Arizona took the SO victory acouple nights ago, and turned it around to dominate the Ducks.
  • Coyotes final score on the powerplay 1/1, coming from a big night from Brendan Perlini (2 Goal Night)
  • Oliver Ekman Larsson continues to lead his team in the offense attack, picking up 3 assists
  • Antti Raanta go his third straight start, rightfully so, earning his third win of the season.

Positive Notes:
  • Arizona continues to get point production from Ekman Larsson, Keller, Perlini Hjalmarsson and Strome just to name a few
  • Adin Hill came in for his first game of the season and dominated the crease with a 33 Save Performance
  • 11/18 Players of collected 1 or more goals in the 4-0 streak

Negative Notes:
  • Arizona continues to fumble with Giving Away the Puck/ Being Taken Away. They need to control the puck
  • Our Power Plays Ranked #14 in the league with a 15.4%

  • Brendan Perlini continues to be hot with his 2 assists on the night

Negative Notes:
  • Arizona continues to struggle on the PP. Something needs to change
  • Arizona continue to give up the puck
  • Adin Hill Dominated vs. Buffalo, but was left out to dry against the offense of the Wild.
  • Our offense ran into a strong defensive core, being dominated from the net for the first time this season.
