Exclamation New Patches

Will they affect your save game? As in when a new patch comes out I am going to have to start my season all over again? Or will you be able to play with all the new fixes?

To be honest with you, I wouldn't start a full blown career game just yet. Play around with the game some and figure out how things work and when they release a patch, then you should start. This game is buggy still and needs some work so I wouldn't get too invested in a league just yet.

Even if they don't make it so you have to use a new league, you will have played a bit before you install the patch and things will be simmed with this build and then fixed after you have played a while.

Better to start a season after at least the first patch imho.

Even with OOTP, some people wait until the patches are done before starting a full league that they plan to keep.

Savegames from this point forward should be compatible with any future patches, we took some steps with the release version to ensure that. We'd have to make very large changes in the game for that to change, and doing something like that would only happen as a last resort to fix a critical problem, or if we were adding something huge to the game that'd make save-incompatibility worth it.

Odd ... that's sounds exactly the attitude you're supposed to have during beta testing. This is retail release, the live version ... we shouldn't have to be waiting around for a patch to come out to fix bugs that cause the game to be unplayable.

Thanks for confirmation about the saved games thank god. If the patches did effect my saved game I would have just ask for my money back. Great game bad execution on releasing it. So many noticable problems and bugs just irritates me now. Grrrrr
