Flashing graphics

I started the game in windowed mode. I clicked to maximize the window and since then, there is a really annoying flashing around the outside border of the screen. It doesn't go away when I "un-maximize" the window.

Definitely the first thing to try is to update your video card drivers, or your OS on a Mac.

They were up to date when I reported.

If you try the different settings for OpenGL Mode on the start screen > settings > 3d and facegen, do any of them change this?

Also, just to double check, this is OOTP itself, you're talking about right? It's not a PT specific thing, like the flashing only happens when you're in PT?

Another thing, on the drivers, you'll want to double check and make sure manually that they are up to date, and not just assume that any program you may have that's supposed to update them is doing so correctly, as sometimes they won't get correctly updated, even when they're supposed to have been.

That's very much the most likely cause of this, so definitely it's just something to make 100% sure of before we look for any other potential causes.

I do have the latest nVidia drivers even when checking manually.

I changed the OpenGL settings to "Use OpenGL only for 3D" and the flashing went away.
