Trading as Commissioner
I'm currently playing as commissioner and not managing any teams. I drafted a player onto the wrong team, so I want to correct my mistake by trading him to the team I wanted him to play for. However, when I go to the Initiate Trade screen, it tells me "you do not manage a team or your league doesn't allow trades". But the description of commissioner says I should be able to force trades. Is there some other way to do it, or do I have to wait until receiving a job offer from one of the two teams in question before I can make the trade?
I guess I could force the A.I. to hire me, but I don't want to fire the current management, since the idea of this league is to remain hands-off except for drafting. |

I am not at home so I can't get you a screen shot, but under Manager Tab at the top there should be an option that says "Act As", if you click that you can select one of the teams you want involved in the trade and then go to the trade screen and select the players and the "Force Trade" button will be available to push the trade through.
Just make sure when you're done, go back to the Manager Tab -> Act As and select "None" and you're all set. |

Why not just go into Commish mode, put him on the team you wanted him on and edit his history to indicate the correct "drafted by" line?
Then his history will show as having been drafted by that team, rather than traded to them. |

How do I put a player on a team as commissioner? It looks like it may be a moot point, since the team is having a hard time signing the player anyway.
