How to manage pitching at AA
I have a load of pitchers at AA, but only one gets used. I cannot figure out where/how to manage the pitchers (e.g. select starters, select "use less often", more often...). Thanks.

So he starts and finishes every game? Sounds like a bug. Can you clarify please?

This might not be a bug, since the season is 1871 (when pitchers apparently could pitch all day. The default number of starting pitchers on a major league team is one, with four RPs).
My AA team has a dozen pitchers, and after seven games, all 59 innings have been pitched by the same guy. |

I have set the rotation and relief for the majors, yes, but cannot figure out how to do that at AA.
Until I figure that out, my workaround is to select the pitcher being used, bench him (I could instead reduce his pitch count dramatically, but do not want him used again, since he is taking game time from pitchers with more potential to develop). |

Go to "league setup", click on the "league settings" tab, then on the "Stats & AI" tab. Now top right of this page, select your AAA, AA, or whichever level you want to change, then on the left set the default rotation size. All teams at that level will follow it. Same way that setting it for ML is done. Just select the desired league from the drop down first. (Click on the image for large size) _ |

Thanks, Bluenoser. But what I wanted to do was not change the default number of starters, but to see that specific pitchers on my AA team get lots of innings, while others (low potential stiffs) do not.
That seems to require tweaking individual pitchers' pitch counts, as well as setting their roles and the rotation. |

Yes, another example of the wonderful, extraordinary extraordinary detail in this game.
