Guy's an idiot...
So two of my guys went down early in the year and I had to use two somewhat servicable guys from my bullpen. However, I don't like to have them in my rotation as some of their ratings decrease significantly as starters.
Anyway, I browse through the block and find no one, so I look at the free agents. One guy looks to be a good bullpen guy who could maybe fill in for my replacements occasionally. So I offer him a minor league contract and here are his responses. I wish I could bang him on the head with a cast-iron pan to knock some sense into him! Is he going to play this year if he accepts my contract? Most likely. If he remans a free agent? Definitely not! |

Would you mind if I borrowed your league's name for a Dynasty I am planning? I had another name made up, but after seeing yours I realized it would be perfect for my new concept as it will be a league of fictional players.

It's literally "Fictional Baseball League". Yeah, you can use it, but I can't take credit for it because I think it's the iOOTP default. |

Age
I think there is an age after which most (many? all?) iOOTP free agents will not accept a minor league contract, no matter how wretched their ratings.
Perhaps this is in part a function of their "greed" rating, invisible to us in the mobile version of the game but used by the computer when players negotiate with us. |
