When are international free agents first made available?
I signed a Japanese player who wasn't drafted and wondered if there are international free agents that become available outside the draft. If so, when are they first made available?

Only free agents I'm aware of are amateurs for June Draft. Other's are just unsigned players. How old was the Japanese free agent?

International FA's aren't in this game. Was this league fictional? I know that there are a few young Japanese FA's in the current real set-up that are available to start the game.

This wasn't a fictional league but a current one starting in 14. You're right, it was probably one of those Japanese free agents since he was signed in 14.

In my 2014 real season(pre-play), Tanaka started with the Yankees and reliever Tazawa started with the Red Sox. I traded Tazawa and two others for Tanaka in early 2014, and by the end of the season he was relegated to relief work.

But the Red Sox and their insanely good pitching staff repeated as champs...

You're probably using OOTP. This forum is for iOOTP, which is a much more restricted version of OOTP. |

Yeah
I was a little surprised by that... No outfielders or mid infielders.

This gives me the idea to create international free agents from Japan and Cuba every few years.

You need to sign Suzuki and Ogasahara as undrafted free agents when you start a new season. I'm talking about a '14 season replay, not a fictional league. I have started three new seasons, using the 2014 rosters, and every year these guys turn out to be absolute studs, five-star pitchers. Even if you let the computer do the entire draft, nobody picks these guys and they're sitting there in the free-agent pool for anyone to sign.
