Very low triples output?

In my league I'm having a problem where players are hitting very few triples. I've been lowering and lowering the League Totals to the point where I've decided that something is wrong as every other statistical category is working just fine (see screenshot).

With my current settings, my league leader in triples is hovering around 7 per year.

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

I would never touch the league totals, that is what the modifier column is for. Instead of lowering the triple total to 6 to try to get more you should have left it at whatever total you wanted and then increased the modifier by whatever percent you needed to get to what you want. IE a 1.500 modifier would have increased your triple output by 50%, 1.250 by 25% etc.

The easier solution would be to run autocalc at the end of spring training.

Oh. I always thought that the modifier column simply adjusted the league total number by a certain percentage. I've been testing and adjusting the league totals to get them where I want and was able to get every stat in line except for the darn triples!

I'll try your suggestion; entering the stats I want and then messing with the modifiers. Thanks.

Don't forget if you are in preseason or spring training autocalc will adjust the modifiers for you based on whatever totals you put in the boxes. Autocalc runs three seasons in the background in about 2 or 3 minutes (depending on your computer) and then adjusts the modifiers to give you the proper totals.

I've been using autocalc since it was introduced to the game, can't remember when maybe v10?, Never been disappointed with the results. It also adjusts about anything else you can think of IE ground ball DP's, balks, wild pitches, outfield assists, etc. etc. etc.

One of the best features ever introduced to OOTP.
