Potential Idea - Trading
I spend a lot of time in the off season looking at my entire organization, depth, needs etc.
As I do the players who I think are ones I would like to trade (usually many in each off season) I put on the trading block. What would be nice is when initiating a trade with another team and/or shopping a player - one option would be to select not just "what would make this work now" option but also "What would make this work from my trading block" - Or which players on my trading block does this team have interest in. What I have to do now is add each player individually from my trading block, then hit what would make this work and see impact, swap out with new player, repeat. |

This may be a silly question, but have you tried Shop Player with those trading block guys?

It's probably because, much like you, nobody wants your cast offs.
Here's an idea, rather than adding a feature to make uneven trades easier than they already are; find somebody they are interested in, and throw in one from your block as well. I mean the goal is obviously to shed dead weight (and hopefully payroll as well). The trading A.I. is easy enough that you can do this.

Thats what I do -- But how do you know which person from my trading block they would prefer but for testing each one... As I described. |

I'm only guessing but if you hit "what would make this trade work now?" and no players from your trading block are selected they probably aren't interested in any of them? The "what would make this trade work now?" already includes the players on the block.
In other words a "what player from my trading block would make this work now?" would come back with the same answer that "what would make this trade work now?" comes back with but restricting it to players on the block. If they don't come up on the "global" "what would make this trade work now?" why would they suddenly show up on the "what player from my trading block would make this work now?" ? Maybe I'm wrong but seems a lot of interface recoding and AI routine to end up with the same answer. And yeah I'm not a coder so maybe it wouldn't be a lot of code but any code that doesn't really do anything is unnecessary. |
