Amateur draft -is this a bug?

Going into 1950, the third year of my fictional league, I wanted to check out the amateur draft, which I have set for March 1st. I had simmed up to the start of the pre-season [March 4th], so checked out the "Last Draft Log" report, but I found that, although correctly headed up for 1950, the list showed the previous year's choices. When I went into each individual player's history, it correctly said that they were drafted in 1949. But there is no list of the players who were actually drafted in 1950. Any ideas, please?.

Yes, do not schedule the amateur draft to occur during the off-season.

Great, thanks for the info, John. I'm still adjusting the start date to try and get the time-frame right for the progress of my season, so I'll make sure to move the draft as well.

You may already be aware, but unlike professional football and basketball in the US, the professional baseball draft happens at mid-season, in June. Moving it outside the season in OOTP before a season starts or after the season has completed will have the effect of associating the draft with the next uncompleted season rather than the one just completed. But since the new season hasn't started yet, the draft doesn't recognize the new season yet. Hence your problem. Keeping it mid-season avoids all of this trouble.

Thanks again, John. Yes, I knew that the draft takes place in midseason IRL, but in my fictional leagues I like to place it before the season starts, so that the best prospects have a chance to impress in Spring Training. I think the mistake I made, in adjusting the season start date, was that the draft ended up being before the pre-season, also. I have tried moving it to a date after the start of the pre-season but before the start of the regular season and it worked ok in my trial.
