Old time user trying to get back into the game
Hi, I am hoping someone can chime in and give me some advice.
I am an old time user of the game and now that I have retired I would like to get back into using it . My old game keeps crashing and I think I need to purchase a new version . should I purchase version2.5 or title bout 13 ? what is the difference ? I think(?) I have 2.5 but it is not working. If I buy a new game how do I make sure it is update with fighters? please help thank you Gene |

TB 2.5 seems to be a crap-shoot. Some say their copy crashes while others have been running theirs for a long time with few problems. As for TB2013, don't bother. It was a mess brought out too soon. My copy ran okay for a few months then went crazy, so I ditched it and went back to 2.5.
We keep hearing every few months that Paul Norman is making progress with a new career version, but it's almost five years after TB2013 and all a few folks have is an alpha test version to mess with. At present rate of progress I don't expect to see a working game before 2020 at best. He's one guy working part time. No big deal as long as you can get TB 2.5 working for you. Best we can hope for is one of our small group wins the lottery and finances an actual team of programmers to produce an updated version of Title Bout for PC. I also have parcels of land on the lunar surface for rent. Cap

Like Cap says that is the best option, I wouldn't spend on TB2013 sadly.

Definitely 2.5... but make sure you apply the 2.5.27 patch.

thanks for the info
Thank you all for your input .I am a tremendous boxing fan and while I have not played in awhile , I follow the various threads in the forum from time to time ..
How would I be able to update the ratings within the game ? I know there used to be a link to do this but I understand that this is not working .Is there a link so I can manually update ( I know this would be a task). I hopefully can get my current game going( or I will buy another) as it stalls midway in the loading fighter process. thank any info you can she would be appreciated. |
