Extension question

I am playing in a real life sim, currently in the first month of 2015. What are opinions on Ian Desmond. He is in final year on contract and wants 12.5M per for 6 years. He is somewhere between 65-68/80 player. I don't have any other options until Turner or Difo is ready, so my gut tells me to do it while he is willing to sign. Any opinions? He is 29 and this would lock him up to 35. I am thinking of offering the 75M contract, but with the last year being a team option.

With Turner in your system, I'd let Desi walk if I were in your situation. Give him the one-year qualifying offer at the start of the offseason.
