How to change game path for save on dual hardrive system

I have switched the path on Steam to save to my D drive which is my 1TB drive but the save file for the league still automatically maps to my C drive which is my 256GB SSD and I am getting the error message that my SSD has less than 25% free space so I would like to stop the league file from ballooning up past 2GB per save.

Any help/tips?

Did you also switch the save path on the main menu of OOTP? (Settings -> Expert -> Custom data path)

Ok, so now I've really screwed up because I created a folder on second drive, copied and pasted everything over and changed the path and now when it boots up I get the error message that the facegen folder can't be found and all my saved games are gone.

Any ideas on how to reset the default folder?

Should I do a complete uninstall and then try downloading again?

For a long time, I've wanted to know how to move saved games and data to a different drive, but I didn't get any responses to my queries (at least, not any that I could understand). I also was too cyber-fearful to click on any button labeled "Expert". But I just tried what Yarideki suggested, and it worked without a hitch.

Did you create the new default folder before changing the path? I think (though I don't know for certain) that that's an essential step.

I have thw same problem,in earlier version, change custom data path can easily handle everything. but in ootp 21 change custom data path will cause error''facegen folder can't be found'', the only way to solve it is to reinstall the game. So weird, hope patch can fix it

I ended up saving my saved_games folder to a thumb drive and then deleting every single file I could find that was OOTP 21 after I did a uninstall through Steam.

Then I reinstalled through Steam after I verified that my download path was to my D: drive and not my C: drive.

After loading the game I then went into Settings - Expert - Path and selected the following path:

D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 21\data

You have to select the 'data' path or you still get error messages.

Yes, make sure you copy the entire data folder over and not just the saved games folder. I apologize, I should have been more specific originally.
