P .409
Yeah, it's later in the season now, and you & Abe, if you and Abe are the Our Leaguers are leading the way. What do you guys do besides have a league of your own? Are you all FTP?

I'm already bored with the new toy after blowing 33K on packs and maybe getting 10K back. Maybe. Coming back to the friendly confines of Lost Money Grounds I see that the Tigers have increased their division lead and also swept the New Orleans Brees on the road.

Your new toy OOTP 21?
How many of y'all plan on playing PT 2.0 this year? 3.0? Both?

89-73 was just good enough to sneak into the second wild card. The last place team in the division was 84-78. Black Panthers unfortuantely ended up one spot out of relegation. White Tigers ended up at 110-52, best record in the league. Not our best record ever, that was 2 seasons ago when we had 113 wins but were the 3 seed. |

Hamtramck rolls to an astonishing total of 123 wins for season 52 smashing the franchise record for wins by 7. Not bad for a team that was teetering on the edge of relegation as recently as 13 seasons ago. Let's hope the magic continues into the postseason. Zack Wheat was tops in batting average and RBI, but fell short in the HR tally. Maybe, someday he will get that triple crown. Norm Cash was leading in HR when I went to bed, but Mike Trout of the Palmetto Stud Muffins hit the go ahead HR in game 163. Cash also stole 7 bases without getting caught even though I have him set to never steal bases. Gaylord Perry had the most pitching wins with 22. His ERA was 0.01 less than Brecheen, so Brecheen gets the call to the bullpen for October.

The offensive settings only netted 2 more runs than the record but more importantly the pitching held a 2.73 ERA. Small update as I am trying to get the new toy in line before setting autopilot here tonight.

Sigh...
OOTP 19 (PT 1.0): The Huntley Red Raiders win 107 games, their third-best record ever in Perfect, and clinch the #1 seed throughout the playoffs. The second-best team in the league is the Osgoode Senators, who happen to be in the same division as the Red Raiders. The Senators finished with 102 wins, with Huntley's 12-7 season series record over the Senators making the difference in the division.
So, naturally, in Division Series games 1 and 2, the Senators sweep Huntley in Huntley, 2-1 and 8-4. <sigh> OOTP XX (PT 2.0): The Huntley Red Raiders win 131 games, their sixth time winning 130+ (first time since 2060), and clinch the #1 seed throughout the playoffs. The Los Angeles Bruins are in the same division as Huntley; they end up winning 106 games, with Huntley taking the season series 12 games to 7. So, naturally, in Division Series games 1 and 2, the Bruins sweep Huntley in Huntley, 2-1 and 5-4. <double sigh> When do the PT 21 leagues start up, again?

Postscript:
OOTP 19: Osgoode wins game 3, 3-1, to sweep Huntley. Red Raiders in the regular season: 107-55 overall, 12-7 vs the Senators; Red Raiders in the post season: 0-3. OOTP XX: Huntley manages to win game 3 behind Rube Waddell, 4-1, but the Bruins KO Roger Clemens and the Red Raiders in game 4, 8-3. Red Raiders in the regular season: 131-31 overall, 12-7 vs the Bruins; Red Raiders in the postseason: 1-3. RP Rube Marquard in the regular season, 44.2 IP, 1 ER; RP Rube Waddell in the postseason, 2.2 IP, 1 ER, 1 L. SP Roger Clemens in the regular season, 21 straight wins to open the season, 25-1 overall; SP Roger Clemens in the postseason, 3.2 IP, 5 ER, L. Huntley Red Raiders: 6 straight seasons with #1 seed in playoffs; 6 straight playoff appearances without reaching the Perfect League Series, let alone winning one. See you next year! Maybe.

Warbirds in to the PL finals against the Springfield Cardinals (1 PL Titles)
This will be the 9th straight finals for the Warbirds. Both teams swept their way into the finals which should lead to an earlier final night of PT20. The Warbirds beat the mighty (PL titles) Orlando Shockers 130 wins +715 vs 102 wins +308 Both teams have offensive park factors with Springfield's slightly focused on RH hitters and really, Really focused on doubles. Which the Warbirds happen to lead the league in.

They now face one of the hardest feats in...ahem...real sports...but this is the RNG. The Cardinals did have a 5 game losing skid this year so hope is faint but present.

I think coming from 3 down happens a lot more in OOTP than in real life. Meanwhile, the predicted match of Hamtramck and 23-time perfect champion New Orleans Brees has occurred and currently tied 1-1.

Proud to announce my first Perfect League Championship in .414 over 3-time PL champ Peculiar Mischief, 4-1.
My team the Milk Bar Droogs, is my first team, but was handicapped by the fact that I improved it incrementally, and had trailed on doing missions. Indeed, it was a mission that seemed to put me over the top. (My other two teams are more stacked talent-wise, but apparently more snakebit.) The key is that I decided to upgrade from Sisler to Bill Terry, a season ago. In his 2nd year, Terry led the league in hitting at .373, produced 7.6 WAR and won the MVP & Playoff MVP. it was my 36th season, about 13 spent in Perfect. Never as sweet as the first one! What a thrill! |

I can't believe I am writing this, but my FTP Castle Black Crows swept the P432 Perfect League Series and won their first title! This team has zero perfect players on it and has a rotation that includes CC Sabathia, Mort Cooper, and Max Lanier.
After winning the wild card game, we knocked off the 10-time PL champ Denver Doggos in the Division Series, went seven with a game Sunrise Manor team, then swept the Minnesota Twinkies for the crown. And now this their watch... has ended. (Seriously, I retired this team for PT21). |

Welp, top seed White Tigers got beat in 4 games by the second wild card team. Was probably their best chance at ever winning a league too.

Frogs finished under .500 for the first time in 8+ months or so. It was a forgettable season in Whale League.
Now the team is in silent PP generation mode as I check back on it every couple of weeks.
