Of sorts, yes. We're nowhere near Huntley-Singapore or even Huntley-Real Madrid. But, two high stakes matchups in a brief period of time is pushing us in that direction.

Thanks, bro. My team needed the confidence boost--went out and won G1 8-1 behind SE Doc Gooden. The Rams threw 100 Cy, 100 Rivera, TOTD Kershaw, and 100 Walsh in that game.

I see that and raise!

Game 5 vs Mississi (23 PL Titles) I had to beat 100 Cy, 100 Hoff, 100 Goose, 100 Walsh, and 100 Mo.

Frog bullpen gets roasted, turning a 3-1 9th inning lead and near 2-0 series lead into a gut punch of a loss.

It's true, your teams are scary for a team like mine...rather passionate about baseball, but resources rather scarce (+my overall OOTP sim time, while off the charts in PT 2.0 is probably quite a bit smaller than many of the biggest whales and harpooners of whales)...& I'm sure if it took them 7 games to beat you last time, you might be able to beat them this time. My 2nd virtual popcorn series. Timing hasn't been right for actual popcorn yet.

Your team is great Matrix. It's only downfall is you optimized for fun/lovin the Mets and not pure W/L. And that's not a downfall at all.

Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah, that does happen sometimes, I go to put in a Mookie Wilson, say, & I think why if I want to win. I simply remind myself I'm a Mets fan and it really does make sense to me.

Waiting for the Warbirds are the Orlando Calrissians. Yes, the team we were trying to jinx in the playoffs after they won their last 32 games of the reg.

They did lose 1 to stop the streak.

Orlando will go with Walter, Cy, RB Pedro and Schilling
San Angelo will start with a surprise in Kid Nichols (2 starts) followed by Walt, Gooden and Young.
NOTE: When the Warbirds shifted Schilling to the bullpen... it made it so there wasn't going to be a 20 game winner H2H each game of the series.

Orlando has the hot hand plus home field.
San Angelo has the better RD.
Each have 8 PL titles and some recent success.
The Warbirds take the magic out of Orlando (lost last 3 of 4) at home with 2 dominant pitching performances. Kid Nichols and Big Walt both scattering 5 hits and 1 ER.

3-1 and 7-1 wins will make the flight back to the Hangar for 3-4-5 a lot more enjoyable.

Warbirds send Cy and Doc while Orlando counters with RB Pedro and Schilling for games 3 and 4.

Owlz make it to another Perfect World Series. Expecting to get crushed by Mega whale Paw Sox or Seagulls.

Doubledays go up 3-0 in AC championship. The surprise is how we won game 3. Beat Peak Rivera for 4 runs in 9th? This is one of the best cards in the game! With a 91 Control rating and only 9 strikes out of 22 pitches? Brecheen did not help by allowing another hit as all 4 base runners from Rivera scored.

Frogs enjoy some home cookin' to go with a 5-run 1st inning. Frogs up 2-1. Putting 5 ER on Waite Hoyt in 0.2 IP is also very nice.

And with that, we're 1 win away [famous last words] from dispatching the mighty Rams. Xtra innings goes our way this time. We're a G2 bullpen meltdown away from a clean sweep.

G5 will be my SE Gooden vs LA's 100 Cy Young in a rematch of G1. Frogs with a chance to clinch at The Lily Pad.

Doubledays make it to another Perfect Series. Expected to be crushed by Super Mega Whale Aqua Sox or Maroons. Aqua Sox 147 win season and 25 perfect titles. Maroons have 4 team of the decade players.

Frogs put the boogeyman to sleep with a 4-1 series win over the Rams. We now get to rest for a couple of days as the Arizona Aces have a 3-2 lead over Hamtramck on the AC side.

Zack Wheat was the easy choice as MVP. He's batting .478 with 4 HR 4 2B 10 RBI in 8 games this postseason.

Not sure who the Arizona Aces are. I would say the Frogs are favorite to leap to win #12.

The Pacific Sixers knocked off the Green Sox in game 5 to advance to the AC Sub-League Series...where they fell to Jonestown, 4 games to 2. On the "knocking off the giants" side, however, the Swaledale Beer Nuts continued their winning ways, taking out the Radium Curies 4 games to 2.

Can Swaledale do it one more time and claim its first Perfect League title? Or will it be title no. 8 for Jonestown?
