An Alternate Reality: The United States of Baseball

The United States of Baseball is an alternate universe league with a rich stroyline upon which it was founded.

The cliff notes version is that the Cold War between the USSR and the United States never ended, in fact, it escalated. On October 24, 1962 - the Cuban Missile Crisis was entering its tenth day. As President Kennedy continued negotiations well into the late evening, a Russian plot was unfolding unbeknownst to him and his staff. During a conference call that evening with the Russian Premier, a single shot rang out on the other side of the line. Chaos ensues and before the American Government could react, Russian occupation of the United States began.

Instead of giving it all away here, I encourage you to head on over to our forums to finish reading this backstory. The community has really latched onto the theme and is turning out new storyline content almost daily.

At the moment, we don’t have any GM vacancies, but we are looking to find others that have an interest in creative writing and would like to add to our storyline. New contributors are affectionately referred to as “Patriots” and are the primary means that we utilize to fill GM vacancies as they occur.

It's looking pretty likely that we'll have one team opening up in the next few days.

We've got two openings in the league currently. We're one sim shy of the all-star break.

The Birmingham Legion are currently sitting atop their division as we approach the all-star break. In addition, they have the second best minor league system in the game.

The Vancouver Atlantics would be a great project team for someone looking to build from the ground up.
