Rivalry

My Cubs won the WS in 2012, defeating the Yankees in the WS. Cubs won in 2014 and 2015, defeating the Texas Rangers and Yankees in the WS (in that order.) Cubs swept the Yankees in the three regular season games they played in 2016. Then the Yankees swept the Cubs in the 2016 WS.

2017 - teams meet three times in the regular season. The Yankees blitzed Cubs excellent pitching 17-2, 12-1 and 9-7. Yankees/Cubs meet in the WS. Cubs win game one 1-0, lose game two 6-2, then sweep the remaining games 3-1, 3-0, 4-0.

2018 - current year. I added another superstar pitcher to the team. Yankees' added two pitchers - one a FA and one 5 star pitcher who they drafted in 2014 and is now up with the big club. Their pitching staff is so good, they converted another rookie stud starter to the bullpen. Cubs and Yankees meet for a series April 10, 11 and 12, with the Yankees entering at 4-2 and the Cubs at 5-0.

Obviously your Cubs team is fictional.

Not just fictional, but a figment of someone's deluded imagination.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

There was an odd popup message in 2017. It was something about Armageddon and the end of the world.
