Starter used in relief

Was in a wild card game with 4 man rotation, and it was set for NO Starters in relief mode. Had Curt Schilling pitch the last two outs of the game for some reason and now I can't start him game one of the next series. Just got him off the AH and put him in as a starter, and he's set as a SP. I have more than enough available relievers to use.

There's got to be a setting somewhere we are missing. That happened to me once, too, and I remember someone explaining to me how to fix it, although I can't recall the exact procedure of said fix...

Is it set to strict rotation?
Why could you not use him for the following start because of 2 batters? Did he throw like 30 pitches to 2 batters?
Also, if you got him on the AH and added him to your roster without filling him into the rotation, then that would be why he was used in relief. When the game says "no starters in relief" it should actually say "no designated rotation members in relief". What position you have them set to is moot if they aren't assigned a specific role within the staff.

Not sure if that covers your issue. I hope it does.

its a known bug. They say they can't fix it. It only happens in elimination postseason games when apparently the AI just decides to ignore whatever your settings are.

With the possibility of sounding crass, it doesn't seem like a "bug" per se. ANY team facing elimination throws out the rule book and does whatever necessary to continue their season.

But if they say it's a bug, then it's a bug. Who am I to disagree.

the program is told NOT to do something. Then it ignores what you tell it and does something else. Thats a bug.
