3-way Tiebreaker
In Gold309, there was a 3-way tie for the last wildcard spot at 87-75.
On Oct. 1, the Kentucky Colonels beat SoCal Bulldogs in a playoff game. I was expecting the winner to then play MDR1000 for the wildcard as would happen in MLB, but there was no such game. Kentucky was declared the wildcard and moved into the playoffs.
Is this intentional, and if so, how is it determined which teams get to play and which teams don't?
It would seem that there would be even more flexibility in scheduling multliple tie-breaker rounds here than there is in real life as you can just keep playing later into Saturday night/Sunday morning and, if necessary, even create additional dates (Oct. 1.5) that only exist for the teams involved so that the regular playoffs start on schedule.
