Was what I yelled when I found out I had fictional players in my historical sim...

in 1930 I added a AAA level to allow some stats to be gathered on players usually sitting on the reserve roster.

During my usual morning simming a player popped up in news without a photo. (phot pack being used but a few players are not there) Was going to do a fictional pic, but noticed no real life stats.

Did some more searching and found fictional free agents and also teams with fictionals in roster. Unfortunately I have simmed almost 4 years so some of those payers have had ML games... Not what I wanted.

Yes, I have backed up the league at the point I added the AAA. Was thinking of just deleting the fictional but as they haev had ML games, I am of the opinion it has corrupted what I wanted to do with the league.

Now, what setting have I missed? How did fictionals get into a league that only has real plyer importing? I thought I covered everything, but obviously not..

Looking at the fictional players, they were created at the date the AAA league was created so it was definitely something I did. There has been no ficitionals (that I have seen) that have been in the drafts, or been drafted for that matter.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

There is an option is league setup to prevent fictional players from reaching the majors. Should be under the historical tab if I remember correctly.

Yep, know about that. Didn't bother with it as I didn't want fictionals created at all. I am unsure why they were created in the first place. All teams had 70+ in the organisation, so adding a level of minors should have utilised those players instead.

Is there a way to not allow any fictionals be created? Or is it a case of of to backup and play with the reserve roster as I was?
