Problems With Historical Facegen

I've wrestled back and forth about saying anything because I know how much work must have been done in order to get this project completed, but in the end I felt it wouldn't be fair to those who did the work if I didn't mention what I've been seeing. I tried to implement the Historical facegen into my 1962 historical league, and I found major problems with the set. On every team there are at least 10 players or so who have a ghoulish dead body look, complete with blue skin. It's so bad and so rampant, that in the end I found the set unusable. This comment was not in any way made to downplay the work that you did, it was made so that hopefully it could be improved in the future.

Not disagreeing with you, but why don;t you load the player into Facegen Modeller and change his color? I do that all the time, takes 2 secs.

I've never had any luck with the facegen modeller, for whatever reason the spot where the head is supposed to be always remains empty so I can't edit anything. Not to mention we're talking about 100+ players

The issue is simply that alot of the Facegens were done using Black and White Photos instead of color mostly due to the unavailability of color photos.

I tried to colorize the facegen in the ones I did but we had multiple contributors and unfortunately some did a better job than others. Also, there were over 17,000 photos to due and checking each one by one was nearly impossible.

As I play through these years I will likely adjust many of these to better color as I come across them. Since the actual facegen process is done it does take just a couple of seconds. If somebody was to submit better colored versions of these files it would be easy to implement them.

I might try to get to some, but i plan on redoing 1 of my leagues from scratch so I cant guarantee how many i will get to over the next 2-3 weeks, after that i might try to tackle players 1902 - 1969ish. I am stuck in 1902 in my historical league.

If anybody wants to post say 10-50 names at a time i can easily pul those up and redo then and repost them.
