Fatigue Question

When using a defensive sub, does it reduce the starter's fatigue ?

Let's say I use a sub for my catcher in the 7th inning every time I'm winning, will my starter be less tired after the game than my opponent who's keeping him all game long ?

Thanks guys!

Seems like it shouldn't. Not sure how changing catchers would reduce fatigue for pitchers. Play a non PT game and manage the game yourself. You can see how fatigued the pitcher is then replace the batter and see if he is less fatigued.

I have seen stranger things, so you never know until tested.

Pretty sure they're referring to the fatigue level of the catcher. And it will have a small impact, but the overriding factor is whether they play or not, and less so specifically about how many innings or ABs they get in a game.

I believe he is talking about fatigue for the catcher, not the pitcher.

I imagine that it should help, but probably not much. Hopefully the game is using Innings Played for fatigue adjustments.

Beaten to it!

Yes I'm talking about the catcher, or any fielder replaced in the 7th inning. 2-3 inning for 70-80 games in a season should mean something regarding fatigue IMHO. Thanks Matt!
