Ted Williams
1939-1944 Boston Red Sox Williams had an absolutely amazing career until blurred vision ended it in 1944. Rookie of the Year 5 time all-star 4 time MVP Never won any pennants - but surely would have been a top 5 player had he stayed healthy. Carl Yastrzemski 1960-1976 Chicago White Sox 1977-1978 Cininnati Reds(first season free agency was introduced) 1978 Pittsburgh Pirates 1978 Detroit Tigers 1979 Chicago White Sox(career ended where it started) Hits - 2,814 Homeruns - 297 Average - .291 OBP - .377 1975(15th year in the league and best season - barely better than 1962) - He had 188 hits, 30 doubles, 17 homeruns, 68 RBIs, .321 average, .427 OBP, and scored 112 runs. Won 3 pennants with the White Sox(73,74,75), winning the series in 73. In 70 postseason at bats he hit .300 with a .364 OBP. 1969 New York Yankees(traded to Chicago Cubs) 1969 Chicago Cubs Mays had a long decent career. Nothing compared to his real one, but still pretty good. Hits - 2,185 Homeruns - 294 Average - .290 OBP - .368 1958(best season) - 124 runs, 200 hits, 39 homeruns, 114 rbis, .375 average, and .456 obp. Won 3 pennants and two championships with the Giants (62,63,66). However, he missed the 63 series due to injury. In 24 postseason at bats he batted .375 with a .444 OBP. He hit 1 homerun, had 3 rbis, and scored 6 runs. 3 time all-star 3 gold gloves 1 MVP(1958) Duke Snider 1949-1966 Brooklyn Dodgers(traded to Boston in 66) 1966 Boston Red Sox 1967 Cincinnati Reds 1968-1969 Boston Braves 1970-1971 St. Louis Browns Had an aewsome career Hits - 2,996(4 shy of 3,000) Homeruns - 552 Average - .328 OBP - .403 1951(best season) - 135 runs, 221 hits, 50 homeruns, 166 rbis, .365 average, .443 OBP. He won 10 pennants in his career - 9 with the dodgers and 1 with the Reds. 9 of those pennants resulted in championships. The Dodgers won 6 straight from 1956-1961. In 259 postseason at bats, Snider hit 11 homeruns with 45 rbis. He batted .324 with a .368 OBP. 14 time all-star Rookie of the Year 1 gold glove 2 MVPs(1951 and 1957) Mickey Mantle 1951-1964 New York Yankees Like Mays in that he had a solid career, but not up to Mantle standards. Hits - 1,340 Homeruns - 250 Average - .250 OBP - .368 1953(best season) - 124 runs, 169 hits, 33 homeruns, .293 average, .401 obp. Won 7 pennants and 1 championship(1955 - the only loss Snider had in the series was to the yankees that year). From 50 to 57, the yankees won 8 straight pennants. In 184 posteason at bats - mantle hit .255 with a .363 OBP, 5 homeruns, and 19 RBIs. 5 time all-star Jackie Robinson 1940-1956 Brooklyn Dodgers(traded to White Sox) 1956-1957 Chicago White Sox Robinson had a pretty darn good career. It's easy to see why the Dodgers were so good when they had both Robinson and Snider on the rosters for some of those years. Hits - 2,627 Homeruns - 141 Average - .277 OBP - .379 He didn't have any seasons that just jumped out of you. He just had a very consistent long career. 1953(best season) - 112 runs, 182 hits, 38 doubles, 11 homeruns, 79 RBIs, .320 average, .422 OBP. Won 4 pennants with the Dodgers and 3 championships. In 60 postseason at bats, he hit .300 with a .481 OBP. Also scored 15 runs with a homeruns and 5 rbis. 9 time all-star |

Just curious but what were your injury settings, active & expansion roster size and financials settings from 1903 to say 1920. I started a historical league from 1903, using the new lahman database and i cant get past 1913 without injurys or teams losing money to cause a not enough players on roster error. Usually its the same error. I edit the player and damn if it isnt another player on the same team. I am just in commish mode and not a gm or manager of any team.
