Hearts of Iron IV 1936-?? Sim

So Hearts of Iron IV, Paradox's WW2 grand strategy game was released today (anniversary of D-Day), and I plan to start a 1936 historical sim based on the happenings of the world war from my HOI4 save.

Now seeing that I'm a newb in HOI4, things could potentially get pretty gnarly for the USA, and so we could have some fun alternatives to baseball as we all know it. There is no guarantees when the war will begin for the USA, nor any guarantees there will still be a USA when all is done and over.

I plan to randomly select players into the WW2 draft, place them in a military division, and based if/when that unit suffers causulties in HOI4, randomly choose if the player lost his life in combat. More than likely we'll see the negro league integration much sooner than 1947.

I hope to add screen shots from the war in my updates. I think I'm going to have a ton of fun with this, so we'll see how it goes!!

HoI4 is way too dumbed down. 3 was a bit extreme, but getting rid of all of the command chain? Having Rommel lead army groups while he still was historically a colonel?
People who enjoy baseball will enjoy HoI for the reason that they are intelligent, but the newest HoI panders to average, aka stupid people. Bigger market, sure, but a sad day for good, complex strategy.

I started a Total War Rome 2 sim league with all the factions as teams in my league. Used historical players etc. Really haven't done much with it since.
