Why are players being released!???

Playing a historical league and the game is releasing my players from the teams!? And then I try to add them back to the team and it won't let me!

So I made a new league. Does the SAME thing! AI puts players in free agency. This is before I do anything. This is supposed to be a historical league. ANY answers!?
